Government and Private Hospitals
[edit]I am going to talk about two different types of hospitals, one is government and the other is private. Fujairah government hospital is open for treatment of both citizen and foreigners. The treatments are free for citizens all over the country in government hospitals as in Fujairah. The government pays for every thing for instance medication, operations and doctors ’fees, while for foreigner they pay 50% for the treatment.
On the other hand, in Fujairah private hospital you have to pay for every tiny thing. Sometime the treatment is too expensive. So, not all people prefer to go to private hospital unless they have to on a holiday or weekend. (The government hospitals close every Friday and Saturday but private hospitals close only on Friday.) Some people also prefer to go to clinics because they think they are cheaper than private hospital. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Timelesss (talk • contribs) 09:58, 26 February 2007 (UTC).
Opening businesses
[edit]UAE has many growing industries that influence on the development of the seven emirates. UAE has approximately 60% entrepreneurs and are increasing. However, it seems that foreigners are having a big share of the market. Therefore, the Federal Government started to open new businesses of their own and employ the local citizens, because locals prefer to work within the service sector of the government. One of the biggest problems that Fujairah government is facing is fixing the roads that were badly destroyed by trucks and vans. Many locals have complained about this problem to the Municipality and only recently the government started to take an action to fix the roads. In addition, People have mainly complained because there cars have been damaged and many accidents have occurred. People that drive in Fujairah roads are forced to slow down because of the pumps or holes in the streets which increased traffic. Fujairah attracts tourists every year and the roads may influence on that. However, Fujairah has many new plans such as the ‘Banana Island’ close to Fujairah Corniche that will be held in the next few years. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 7amoody (talk • contribs) 11:11, 28 February 2007 (UTC).

Schools
[edit]That area looks distinctly like custom-made advertising. Would visitors of this site really want to know about a certain Indian syllabus school in this city? For an encyclopedia, drawling on for a paragraph about this benefits of a single school isn't really apt. I vote for taking that part down. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.51.115.170 (talk) 14:39, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Some parts sound like an advertisement more than an encyclopedic content
[edit]For example "With solid track record, strong cultural heritage, deep market insight and unwavering focus on service and innovation, NBF seeks to develop lasting relationships with its customers, and help them leverage growth opportunities in the ever-changing marketplace." looks very little like what should be in an encyclopedia. Should the article be pruned from such content? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sjlain (talk • contribs) 16:36, 14 August 2017 (UTC)

Old flag
[edit]Hi @Alexandermcnabb, what is your source that the old flag is still "ONE" of the flags pf the UAE? I dont think its true. Here is my source, the old flag is no longer official anymore United Arab Emirates National Flag | Flagmakers Danial Bass (talk) 08:48, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- Danial Bass Each Emirate was assigned a flag under the [General Maritime Treaty of 1820]] ([1]) which remain used by the emirates today (although Fujairah wasn't a signatory, the British didn't actually recognise it as a Trucial State until 1952). These can be seen flying throughout the UAE, particularly on historical buildings. The 'UAE flag' is, indeed, the official flag of the Emirates but Fujairah, and other emirates, still use 'their' flags as well. [2] It's appropriate that the 'flag of Fujairah' be the 'old' flag, 'cos that's what it is! The Commons file for Dubai's flag, for instance, here: [[3]] Best Alexandermcnabb (talk) 09:11, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
Hey no need to shout (!) ya. I like the old flag too, just wanted a source to keep it that way in wikipedia. Wait, even your souce states it reverted "In 1961, Fujairah is understood to have reverted to the old red flag until 1975, when the current ruler, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, replaced it with the flag of the UAE.". Still not convinced. But I will not bother with this, just do whatever you want with this ya. Danial Bass (talk) 09:27, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
