Typology is also a branch of linguistics which concerns itself with comparing the properties that languages have, disregarding their genetic relationshops.
What about sociology? We have for example a normal type and an ideal type. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus 22:00, 23 Jul 2004 (UTC)
This needs to be changed into a disambig. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 00:11, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

Tropical cyclones?
[edit]On Effects of tropical cyclones, it uses typology, but I did not know where to change the link to, since this page does not mention it for any type of weather.--Mynameisnotpj (talk) 21:50, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- According to the current version of this page, the answer is to delink it or convert it to a dictionary link. Mark Hurd (talk) 01:39, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
Baraminology
[edit]I removed the following, which only seems to be an excuse to include a link to baraminology.
- Typology, in creation biology, a system for classifying life into groups known as baraminology

Non-ambiguous titles
[edit]Many of the items on this page are, as far as I can tell, not actually ambiguous. That is, many of these things are not called "typology" as such; a reader looking for information about, say, the Oakeshott typology of swords would probably not search for "typology" without "Oakeshott". I therefore moved many of the links to the See also section.
It might be worthwhile to create a list or a broad-concept article discussing the various kinds of typologies created in different fields. Such an article could include links to most (all?) of the pages listed here. Cnilep (talk) 23:55, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
