1913 Armory Show
[edit]Mention should be made of his participation in the 1913 Armory Show in New York City. According to Time-Life's The World Of Duchamp, Picabia was the only Cubist to attend the show. This led the American press to assume that he was the movement's leader, an assumption that he gleefully failed to correct. He gave incomprehensible interviews, dotted with phrases like "the objectivity of a subjectivity". The Sanity Inspector (talk) 15:20, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
It doesn't fully cover everything you mentioned, but I added at least a reference to him becoming the accidental face of the Cubist movement (and then characteristically breaking with it right after). KateKabob (talk) 14:52, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
Composer
[edit]Shouldn't we add the fact that Picabia wrote a composition for the piano, entitled La Nourrice Américaine, in 1920? Source: https://www.ltmrecordings.com/la_nourrice_americaine_american_nurse_ltmcd2509.html 98.123.38.211 (talk) 00:37, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
