Comment
[edit]The decision to make the film in black and white also allowed them to splice in not only footage of the Nazi film "Titanic" from 1942/3, it also allowed them to splice in footage of real ships being launched -- tho not the Titanic. How can I put this in words? I tried editing the page to say it but nothing came out right. -- Zoe
Split
[edit]This information about the film has been split off to A Night to Remember (film). I believe all the appropriate information has been changed, but if I've missed something, feel free to fix it. :) -- Natalya 19:06, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:WalterLord ANightToRemember.jpg
[edit]Image:WalterLord ANightToRemember.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Subheadings
[edit]Plot and Characters? Really? It's a non-fictional book. I don't think these section headings are appropriate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.142.65.105 (talk) 12:54, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
- Agreed, I've taken that out. Prioryman (talk) 20:54, 5 April 2012 (UTC)

Premonition?
[edit]This book from a well-regarded author starts with a short mention of a minor fiction-writer who had written a pulp-novel in 1898 about a remarkably similar story, with a ship called the Titan being sunk by an iceberg. So many of the details tally with the Titanic story, that it must classify as a case for consideration as a genuine premonition. There was also a similar short story by W.T. Stead, who went down with the Titanic. Could these be logged? Valetude (talk) 22:09, 12 June 2016 (UTC)
