Could we have something on this page about reptile scales and not just measuring scales? could we have something about math not about animals?
- See Scale (zoology). --Zigger 19:21, 2004 Jun 13 (UTC)
The following request was moved here from the bottom of the article. --Zigger 19:21, 2004 Jun 13 (UTC)
- Add more examples here... A history of the measuring scale would be good too
Suggested modifications
[edit]I would like to suggest some modifications for this page.
1 The second and third paragraphs grate uncomfortably with the level of the page since they require graduate level mathematics. Remove them? Move them to the end to a small section entitled something like "Mathematical Note".
2 Tidy up the comment on maps and link to a rewritten page on "Scale(maps)". There I have suggested definition of point scale and representative fraction. Peter Mercator (talk) 14:43, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- Above implemented. -- Peter Mercator (talk) 21:43, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
3 The frensh link bings us to https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89chelle instead of https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ratio. Could you pleas fixe this? Emaanet (talk) 15:39, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
Merge with Scale (map) (or rename the two articles)
[edit]See Talk:Scale (map)#Even more merge: Scale (ratio). --109.53.229.124 (talk) 10:37, 27 July 2014 (UTC)
