(Draft/model to help create or improve "year" articles (for past years) in Wikipedia Maori; kept here so as not to clutter the usually short "Recent changes" page of that Wikipedia.)

All ideas for improvements gratefully received -- please add to the appropriate "discussion" page and alert me on my talk page either here or in the Maori version.

For a year very close to the year of an existing article, it MAY be simplest to copy and paste all except the interwiki links from the edit box of that nearby article if it was recently created (because most of the year and decade and century pages will need little if any change).

But to get the most up-to-date "standard", with improvements that have almost certainly not been incorporated everywhere, see:
