The Forbes 500 list changes from year to year. What is this page going to be? A list of all companies that have ever been on the Forbes 500? A list of companies currently on the Forbes 500? Maybe there should be years listed next to each company, if the list is going to include more than one year? --Lowellian 06:54, Feb 26, 2004 (UTC)

There's historic interest in knowing the past so it'll be useful to track them as they change over time. Not sure how to do it - note sure how much the list changes each year. Lets wait and decide next year, when we'll have more data... Jamesday 00:33, 1 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Is this list still updated? I can't see it at [1]. The latest update is [2] which is "a report card on how these big corporations performed in 2002". But this list seems to be older than that, judging from the names, Bethlehem Steel, BankAmerica, Banc One, Citicorp, First Union, Gateway 2000, LTV. Citicorp was renamed in 1998. It could be the 1998 list for 1997 ([3]).--Jerryseinfeld 01:53, 6 Jan 2005 (UTC)

100, 358, 500, 779...

From the 2001 list onwards, the 500 top ranked are shown. Before that only the ranking of the top 100 are shown in the alphabetical listings. To add to the confusion, the 2005-12-14t21:41:46z version of this article[4] with the 1998 list had 358 asterisks.

Should we limit our 1998 list to 100, or does someone have access to those 500? Should we split the 2001+ tables? — Jeandré, 2005-12-29t19:26z
