Gunhild, wife of Sweyn I is attributed with being the mother of Canute I. Sigrid the Haughty is also said to be the wife of Sweyn I and the mother of Canute I also known as Canute the Great. The dates will have to be studied further to authenticate motherhood.

Why the redirect when there is also the Gunhilda who died during the St Bride's Day Massacre?Jatrius (talk) 20:47, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
