Merge with Solar cell
[edit]It was decided that this was a good thing to do (see Talk:Solar cell), so I am doing it. I haven't heard about the recycling of solar cells. Whilst this seems like a nice idea, I doubt it is actually practical, and I'm fairly sure that nobody is actually doing it. As such, I think it is misinformation and I will not be merging this section with solar cell. I include it here in case anybody really wants to reinstate it.
Recycling
[edit]When photovoltaic cells have to be replaced, the silicon can be reused. Only the coating materials need to be renewed.
Photovoltaic cells are often made from refined silicon that is a by-product of semiconductor production. The limited supply of such relatively cheap by-product is an often-overlooked obstacle to the widespread production of photovoltaic cells.
Merger with solar cell
[edit]I'm not exactly sure how to go about turning this page into a redirect to solar cell. Does someone else want to tell me how to do it, or just do it themsemves? darkside2010 16:22, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)
what i do:
- cut and paste everything from here into solar cell
- add an {{inuse}} tag at the top of solar cell and save it
- make this page say #REDIRECT([[Solar cell]])
- clean up solar cell and merge all the information together nicely - Omegatron 18:12, Apr 12, 2005 (UTC)
