[edit]While born as George Brudenell, the 4th Earl seems to have taken the name Montagu upon becoming duke.Mackensen 23:44, 2 Apr 2004 (UTC)
He assumed the name on the death of his father-in-law, 15 July 1749. He became Duke in 1766. - Nunh-huh 23:54, 2 Apr 2004 (UTC)
