Wikipedia talk:Canadian wikipedians' notice board/Writers

I struck thru Linda Aksomitis on Wikipedia:Canadian wikipedians' notice board/Writers, and removed refs on the following pages:
I'm pretty sure she's un-notable, in view of
- no article since being listed on List of people by name: A and then List of people by name: Ak since 06:04, 2003 Jun 12] without anyone adding a bio article
- 1200 Google hits, first two her personal site & including many WP-derived
- 4 titles on Amazon.
If i'm wrong, this is probably the best place for someone to recognize that fact & give her whatever her due is.
- "No article yet" is not, in and of itself, evidence of non-notability. To pick just three examples from the list, Matt Cohen, George F. Walker and Adele Wiseman don't have articles yet, either. And I'd be very surprised if a person's own personal page wasn't at or near the top of a Google search for their name, given that Google's supposed to rank pages by relevance to the search and all. So that one's out, too. Which leaves us with the numbers: 1200 Google hits and 4 titles on Amazon. Question being, then, are those numbers significant enough to warrant a Wikipedia entry? Personally, I think they are. Bearcat 04:11, 20 Jan 2005 (UTC)
