[edit]50% of the Pacific Highway from Hexham to Tweed Heads is now dual carriageway - Including the "in contruction" section(s), as follows;
- Bonville upgrade
- Ballina Bypass
- Karuah to Buledelah upgrade section(s) 2 and 3
- Coopernook to Herons Creek upgrade
- Bulahdelah upgrade – Seeking planning approval, no updates as yet
- Clarify 'Bulahdelah bypass' as the section bypassing the Buladelah Mountains is open and generally known as the Buladelah Bypass, however I'm assuming the above mentioned bypass is of the town of Buladelah itself.

Merge suggestion

- To not merge, given that they are distinct topics best discussed separately. Klbrain (talk) 17:00, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
Can't see why we have two separate articles, t is one seamless road from Hexham to the Brisbane CBD. Wikipedia for some reason treats them as separate roads, arbitrarily splitting them at Brunswick Heads. The latter was the end of the dual carriageway from Brisbane for a time, but that has not been the case for many years. Tottersley (talk) 00:58, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
- Because Pacific Motorway was gazetted only up to Brunswick Heads, whereas the section south of it is still gazetted Pacific Highway. Hence by gazette definition, they are separate roads (regardless of signposting). Marcnut1996 (talk) 02:08, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
- As per Marcnut1996, it is not a Wikipedia decision but a government distinction. But if suitably cited, there's no reason not to point out the reality of a seamless road for the purposes of driving. Kerry (talk) 22:44, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
- It is not seamless, especially at Coffs Harbour and near Hexham.--Grahame (talk) 04:59, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
- There is an at-grade intersection of the Pacific Highway and Grays Lane at Tyagarah, just south of Brunswick Heads, which is presumably the reason the government doesn't consider it to be a Motorway.--Grahame (talk) 05:22, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
- It is not seamless, especially at Coffs Harbour and near Hexham.--Grahame (talk) 04:59, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
