[edit]Thought that the intended meaning was that the town of Halls Gap was equidistant to Ararat and Stawell rather than the whole national park, given that it's a large park. Stumbles 04:48, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Grampians Black Panther
[edit]Sightings of the Grampians Panther go back at least to the early 1970's and despite a great deal of time and effort by researchers it has evaded capture there has also been sightings of Thylacine in the Grampians N.P.
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Thylacine_Research/
This is a new group to explore new posabilaties and collect sightings and analize the data with fresh eyes of both Thylacine and Panthers. There is a trip to the Grampians planed for 19th Dec 2006
- Can someone write about the panther that lives in the Grampians, like about sightings ect. ----
- You might want to be careful with the wording. As of yet, the mysterious Grampians Black Panther is still considered a cryptid, and there is absolutely no solid, verifiable evidence to support its existence. In fact, despite being a relative skeptic, I spent a week at Grampians National Park filming a documentary about the panther's possible existence. Alas, we didn't find much! (However, there was one instance when we rounded a corner on a deserted walking track to see a black animal spring into the bushes. It didn't seem like a wallaby at the time, but it probably was... It was gone before we could start filming). Ackatsis 11:43, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Anyway, you might want to link the article to this one, or maybe create a another similar one. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gippsland_phantom_cat) Ackatsis 11:43, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Halls gap IS NOT equidistant between the towns of Stawell and Ararat
[edit]As a resident of the Stawell/Ararat district for nearly 20 years i can confirm that Halls Gap is far from equidistant between the townships of Stawell and Ararat... In fact the statement is more true for the town of Stawell in relation to Halls Gap and Ararat. Halls Gap rests roughly 50kms N/W of Ararat and 24kms W of Stawell. As i do not know the correct legal procedures associated with editing a page i am hoping that someone will see this and correct the entry.Krittol (talk) 15:26, 29 March 2014 (UTC)
- You sound like the kind of expert Wikipedia relies upon. I could find it on a map, but you live there, so you know it well. Edit the page, correct the mistake, make Wikipedia more accurate. As the phrase goes, 'be bold'! (and if you do something horribly wrong, someone else will always fix it, so don't worry). GyroMagician (talk) 09:38, 30 March 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Grampians National Park. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}

to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
