[edit]Where are all the Irish destinations? Of course they count as destinations, for foreigners at least, and it would be useful to find out all the airports than Aer Lingus uses.
- This list of destinations is not date referenced. Are these destinations being served in 2005 or what? We need to know how current the list is or it is of no value. Ardfern 20:01, 20 August 2005 (UTC)
United States destinations
[edit]I just happened to look at the information here, and noticed that they were listed as flying to more US destinations thay they legaly can. So i checked with the airline website and with some other booking sources, and verfied what i knew, the only US destinations that EI can and does fly to on a regular basis, are Chicago-O'Hare, Boston-Logan, New York-JFK, and LAX. Orlando is vacation charter. All other cities and destinations that were listed are codeshares with other airlines, for the most part American Airlnies and British Airways. Also EI would never be able to fly to that many US destinations, as they do not have the equiptment to do it, and second they could NEVER fly into Regan National, becides the fact that National can not realsiticaly handle aircraft that are set for trans-atlantic flight, National has no FIDS/Customs, which with pre-screen is not as big of an issue, and both Shannon and Dublin are wll out if it's set range. EI did previously fly into BWI though, but have not returned. --Boothy443 | trácht ar 05:51, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
Fuertaventura and Salzburg
[edit]Have FUE and SZG been dropped? They don't seem to be bookable on the EI website any more.
- Yes Aer Lingus have dropped FUE due to poor loads from competition with Ryanair, but Salzburg has not been dropped, its just a Winter only route and will resume on 22 December 2007. -- 15:24, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
US States
[edit]Be it known to those who aren't in the United States that Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport is an airport located in the state of Maryland, USA. The airport is not physically located in Washington, D.C., nor does it solely serve Washington D.C. (It primarily serves central Maryland.) The organization of the page is also confusing in that it seems to assert that the city of Baltimore is a part of Washington D.C., which it certainly is not. Washington, D.C. is a federal enclave that is home to various neighborhoods, but not to an entire city. I won't make any more changes to this page, but I'd like you to consider this clarification.
Moreover, most European airlines do not list their US destinations by state on their Wikipedia pages. US carriers do, but they surely label Baltimore as belonging to Maryland. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.250.230.43 (talk) 00:55, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Toulouse route
[edit]Can someone please prove that the Toulouse route is terminating? FF3000 · talk 13:19, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- I have reverted the claim that the Toulouse route is terminating. It is a Summer seasonal route, like many other routes, which operates from June to September every year. The Aer Lingus website shows no evidence that the route will not be operating next year (or in other words, terminating). Route cuts and/or suspensions are normally listed on the main page e.g. the suspension of the Washington DC and San Francisco routes from October.
- There was a similar case earlier on this year with the Salzburg route, which is a Winter seasonal. It runs from December to March, and because Aer Lingus removed it from the route map, timetable and booking lists in April, users on Wikipedia removed it from destination lists. It has since reappeared on all of them though. --FF3000 · talk 15:49, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
Sofia Airport

Incorrect revert???
[edit]Why was the spelling of "San Francisco" reverted to "San Fransisco"? [note "s" in place of "c"] IRISHwiki15 17:15, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
- I don't know why that happened at all. In fact I don't even know why LAX and SFO were readded to the destination list at all. --Footyfanatic3000 (talk · contribs) 17:43, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
Map
[edit]If [1], is of any use, would it be worth incuding in the article? IRISHwiki15 08:35, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
- Go on, it would look great both on this article and the Aer Lingus article :) --Footyfanatic3000 (talk · contribs) 12:28, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
