doesn't dravidian originate from dravya or root substance (essence ). I know.. there have been some serious contradictions to the aryan invasion theory. why hasn't that ever been refered to I suppose. It'sa important piece of history which was seriously meddled during colonial rule of British in India.
Driven to South India?
[edit]How can one be sure that Dravidians were driven to South India? Recent genetic research does show Haplogroup L and H are present predominantly both in South and North Indians. Also, there is a visible presence of Haplogroup J(Neolithic farmers) in both these populations.

- I agree, the edit made by "07:02, 15 August 2005 144.170.81.6" didn't back up the claim with any scientific references. I wasn't able to find justification for the edit via google. -- Thoreaulylazy 04:41, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

Keep Political links from this list
[edit]Dravidian Topics list should be limited to cultural links. Dravidian political links are really Tamil political links and should be kept out. Please remove Self-respect Movement from this list - all other links are culture-related.
- To the unkown user: Show me one source in Wikipedia laws that state the separation of political and cultural links? The Self-Respect movement was started in the 1930s to fight against caste discrimination. Yes, it was started by Tamils which explains why all the animosity against them in India. The Self-Respect movement is a part of Dravidian culture since it opposes the caste system which was a foreign element amongst the ancient Dravidians. To those who feel offended that it infringes on the discriminatory way of life, please let me know and we can take this to admin for a case. Wiki Raja 23:45, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
