Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! If you want to learn more about the contribution process, definitely check out the tutorial. It's a really simple and easy explanation of all the basics.
TIPS:
- If you have any questions about Wikipedia and don't know where to look, try the How do I do that? section of help.
- Get your feet wet as soon as you can by being bold in editing (and using the Show Preview button).
- Read what Wikipedia is not.
- Learn how to avoid common mistakes.
- At Wikipedia, neutrality means representing all viewpoints as opposed to just one. Read the neutral point of view tutorial to learn more.
- As you learn more about Wikipedia, you may want to check out the Manual of Style and the Policies and Guidelines.

MediaWiki Software
[edit]I'm a student and programmer aspiring to be a professional writer (I've never actually written that sentence out and now that I have, I realize how weird people must think I am) and finding Wikipedia and the MediaWiki software has been one of the most exciting Internet discoveries I've had in a long time. I have one where I keep a lot of writings I have done or am working on with other people and I'd like to think the methods I'm personally developing for collaborating on projects via wiki I can use for the rest of my life in a business environment, so it's great to hear your company uses them. Plus, Wikipedia itself is just fantastic as a resource for expanding breadth of knowledge. If you have any questions feel free to ask. - [[User:Defunkt|Defunkt (talk)]] 20:29, 3 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Adventureland Photos
[edit]You mentioned on the Adventureland Talk page that you'd be willing to use the pictures from your website as part of the project. I'd love to use some of these to illustrate the Adventureland page, as well as the individual coaster pages, but can't legally do that because of the copyright notice on your site. If you're willing, I could either upload the photos, and point you to them so you can make the appropriate comments on the image pages to establish that you are the owner and release the rights for WP use... --Rehcsif 18:49, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response -- I'll let you know when I have more time to work on it. --Rehcsif 15:09, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The file File:HiddenMickey1.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 9 May 2019 (UTC)

Blocked

Request reason:
After trying on mobile devices and a laptop, I'm not sure what the source of the block is. It may be something that happened on the work internet IP range.Allen Huffman (talk) 23:03, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
In order to look into this, we need to know the IP involved. If you would rather not post it publicly, you may use WP:UTRS to provide it privately. 331dot (talk) 00:13, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Unblock 2
[edit]Allenhuffman (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I see "The IP address or range 2606:54C0:0:0:0:0:0:0/32 has been blocked (disabled) by SQL for the following reason(s):" from my current connection via a computer. I have also seen the message from AT&T on a tablet, and from the same tablet via a work WiFi, as well as a computer at the work WiFi. That's three different internet connections on three devices. I'm not sure what information is needed. My username does not appear in the block list, per the link provided with the error message.
Decline reason:
Please disable your proxy (likely, the Apple iCloud private relay service). Note that you may need to wait a full 24 hours for the block to clear. Yamla (talk) 00:54, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
