Talk:Fusion (Yu-Gi-Oh!)
Appearance
I'm replacing Example 3 from the article; it's so wrong it's not even funny. The XYZ series (X-Head Cannon, Y-Dragon Head, and Z-Metal Tank, along with the various fusions) isn't that hard.
- Example Three:
- Player A has "Z Metal Tank" on the field. He summons "Y Dragon Head" to the field. Due to these monter's Effects, they instantly Fuse and are sent to the Graveyard, and "YZ Tank Dragon" is Special Summoned from the Fusion deck immediately.
- they instantly Fuse. Nope, sorry. Yes, they can fuse together, but it is not mandatory.
- sent to the Graveyard. Again, sorry. Due to the effects of all 4 XYZ Series fusions, the fusion material monsters are removed from play. A subtle, but very important difference. Cards that have been "removed from play" are seperated from the Graveyard, and cannot be brought back by cards that target the graveyard, like Monster Reborn.
I'm fixing the example, and cleaning the page up a little bit. --DennyJay 15:30, 5 May 2005 (UTC)
