Re: NC 17
Album for an artist without a page. [[User:Poccil|Peter O. (Talk)]] 00:09, Aug 18, 2004 (UTC)
- Delete or redirect: This name needs to be preserved for the infamous film rating in the US. Geogre 00:18, 18 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Band and album are verifiable. Band is semi-successful, mainly known for touring with better known bands. While the band is possibly notable, the specific album isn't, and since they've only made a couple of albumsit doesn't make much sense to give them their own articles. Delete and redirect to MPAA film rating system, unless somebody creates an article for the band, in which case merge to the band's page and redirect to MPAA film rating system. — Gwalla | Talk 02:34, 18 Aug 2004 (UTC)
According to the band's site and many other sources, the correct name for this album is "Nc17", so I've moved the content to that article name - Nc17. NC 17 now points to MPAA film rating system, since that is the most likely intended destination. I suppose the discussion is now whether to keep Nc17. -- Netoholic 06:00, 18 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Delete: I still say delete. I don't like breakouts for every album in the universe. We learn from this article that the record has the following songs. Ok. So, imagine an article on the band (and you have to, because it doesn't exist) and imagine "Discography" at the bottom of it. Each album title then has a colon and, in italics, the songs on the album. For breakthrough, landmark albums, a breakout is fine. For just another record from just another band, no. I.e. it's a question of notability. Is this album so notable as to be sought by visitors to the Wikipedia who have no knowledge of who released the album? Geogre 13:01, 18 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Delete - just a track listing. -- Cyrius|✎ 04:48, 22 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Some anon IP just copy/pasted the Nc17 page to Treble Charger, but added no content. I recommend deleting both pages. -- Netoholic 06:03, 22 Aug 2004 (UTC)
