This sentence doesn't make sense

It was rumored that Karadžić deliberately refused to undergo amputation, instead deciding to make do with a prosthetic wooden pegleg, of which there were several sarcastic references in some of his works.

His lower left leg was deformed and paralyzed (as a result of an accident) and would buckle at the knee, and he could not stand on it. He walked with a prosthetic device strapped below his left knee. See the photos here and here. Doremo (talk) 16:32, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
