Suggestions for future expansion
[edit]Unfortunately, I don't really know enough about this to expand it, but I'd like to see a few things added.
1) How reliable the Morningstar ratings have been historically.
2) The Morningstar methodology on rating funds (provided that it is publicly known)
3) A more detailed explanation of the Morningstar stylebox.

Morningstar investment philosophy
[edit]Anyone with easily accessible information on Morningstar's investment philosophy? I know Joe Mansueto is a huge fan of Warren Buffett, and Morningstar is notable for using DCF models to estimate the "intrinsic" values of companies as well as the idea of the moat.
