Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Confederate States of America, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses novel, unpublished syntheses of previously published material. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your information. In this context, the word "illegitimate" is your value judgment, and not supported with citation. Thank you. BusterD (talk) 18:12, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi -- I'd like to explain what is wrong with your edit summary for the change you made. In psych terminology, "reinforcement" means anything that increases the incidence of a behavior; things that decrease the incidence are "punishment". "Positive reinforcement" means increasing the incidence by following occurrences with something good; "negative reinforcement" means increasing the incidence by following occurrences with the removal of something bad. So this is in fact negative reinforcement, as the article said before you changed it. Regards, Looie496 (talk) 22:12, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gerweck, It is time for you to add something (anything) to your WP:User page. It will get the red out of the history of your edit. Happy editing. 7&6=thirteen () 12:15, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please elaborate

...on this edit. I don't find your edit summary makes much sense. Given the original sentence is a bit confused, your edit doesn't make the meaning any clearer. If you like I can send you the source. Tom Reedy (talk) 18:05, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
